This two-day online supervision training will explore the core elements and competencies of clinical supervision across a range of settings. Clinical supervision gives people the opportunity to reflect on their work and unlike line or case management, it provides opportunities to discuss challenges and successes, explore skills and knowledge development, model and practice specific approaches, and develop personal and interpersonal skills. The course will cover the supervisory alliance and role of the supervisor, setting up effective supervision contracts, using feedback and most importantly, how to support a sustainable clinical supervision structure and ethos at work. This training is designed for both clinical supervisees and supervisors alike.

Teaching will be delivered by clinicians and lecturers from the University who have specialism in clinical supervision across a range of clinical and professional contexts. The online supervisor training programme will comprise two days of training sessions linked directly to the generic supervision competencies within the UCL competency framework for supervision.
