We are excited to share that Catherine Gallop, Director of Cedar, has recently joined the Ted Wragg Trust Health and Education Advisory Board.  

The Ted Wragg Trust is an ambitious and inclusive Trust of schools that is strengthening our communities through excellent education. Its aim is to transform lives through learning which aligns with our values in Cedar and Cedar Create. 

The aim of the Health and Education Advisory Board is to develop a joined-up approach to support the education, health, wellbeing and development of all children and young people in our communities. With the objectives: 

  • To facilitate excellence in our approaches to supporting health and mental wellbeing in our schools 
  • To identify and address the health barriers faced by children and young people in accessing education 
  • To support local public health issues and campaigns through education 

Catherine will join Board meetings and provide expertise on the health landscape and priorities that the Ted Wragg Trust and Cedar Create can collaborate on. Catherine is a Clinical Psychologist, accredited CBT therapist and National Teaching Fellow. She is a Professor of Clinical and Applied Psychology at the University of Exeter and has worked in Clinical Practice Education since 2007. Catherine is the Director of Cedar and Clinical Training (Post Graduate Taught Programmes) overseeing the strategic direction and governance of Cedar and Cedar Create. Catherine is also the Co-Chair of the Psychological Professions Network – South West (PPN-SW) supporting and leading regional and national work with NHSE in relation to workforce strategy, training and implementation and supporting service effectiveness.  Her clinical specialism is within Children and Young Peoples’ mental health.
