SUMMARY:Enhancing Clinical Practice Workshop | Cultural Humility in the Adult Practitioner role (PWP and MHWP) | Wednesday 29th April 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Cultural Competency Workshop is designed to support qualified Adult Psychological Practitioners in developing clinical competency and confidence in understanding the complexity of culture within the realm of talking therapies. This workshop covers the principles of culture\, anti-racism\, intersectionality\, equality\, and diversity\, helping Adult Psychological Practitioners gain confidence in initiating complex conversations\, addressing initial anxiety around this sensitive topic\, and understanding why this area of knowledge is fundamental. \nWe explore the outcomes of a lack of awareness and the repercussions already identified within the realms of mental health and low intensity working. A variety of engaging teaching methods are employed throughout the day to provide an optimal learning experience and cater to different learning styles\, including lectures\, small and large group discussions\, individual reflection\, and case studies. The workshop’s content also explores change processes at therapeutic\, service\, supervision\, and management levels. These methods are established and proven to work\, while also addressing areas that still need improvement. \nThis workshop is open to both PWP’s and MHWP’s and will be held remotely via Zoom from 09:30am to 16:30pm. \nA place on this workshop will cost £125. Please do book a place on this programme using the link below\, alternatively we can arrange for an invoice to your service/organisation. \nEnhancing Clinical Practice Workshop | Cultural Humility in the Adult Practitioner role (PWP and MHWP) | Wednesday 29th April 2026

SUMMARY:Enhancing Clinical Practice Workshop | LICBT Supervision Top-up (PWP workshop) | Tuesday 12th May 2026
DESCRIPTION:Case management and clinical skills supervision are integral to effective delivery of low-intensity CBT\, and PWP development and wellbeing. Once PWPs have completed the supervisor training\, there is often a lack of ongoing CPD to ensure supervisor skills are continually improving\, and supervisors are ensuring they are maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the growing and evolving evidence base\, to ensure they are meeting the needs of diverse PWPs. \nThis one-day workshop offers a refresher to existing PWP supervisors\, to consider more general supervisor competencies and skills\, such as considering risk and intersectionality\, as well as the skills specific to a low-intensity setting.  The day will include attention to the theory surrounding supervision\, and advancing supervisor competencies identified by Roth and Pilling\, and the supervision best practice guidance. There will be opportunity for reflection on your supervisory practice\, to enhance development and facilitate the development of an ongoing action plan.  \nThis workshop is open to PWP’s only and will be held remotely via Zoom from 09:30am to 16:30pm. \nA place on this workshop will cost £125. Please do book a place on this programme using the link below\, alternatively we can arrange for an invoice to your service/organisation. \nEnhancing Clinical Practice Workshop | LICBT Supervision Top-up (PWP workshop) | Tuesday 12th May 2026

SUMMARY:Enhancing Clinical Practice Workshop | Resilience (PWP and MHWP workshop) | Tuesday 30th June 2026
DESCRIPTION:Our resiliency is regularly challenged in our personal\, clinical and professional lives. These challenges are especially evident within healthcare roles\, whether this be within the NHS\, third sector or charitable organisations\, given the demands and complexity working as part of the mental and physical health workforce. Recognition has resulted in several developments\, including a session focusing on enhancing resiliency incorporated into several training curricula. \nAs a CPD opportunity\, this workshop seeks to consider and develop resiliency practices at an individual and organisation level. Facilitators will support attendees to consider the factors that can support or impede resilience\, from an individual and organisational perspective\, as well as sharing experiences of what is going well and challenges around resilience. At the individual level\, delegates will learn to support a third wave CBT ‘strength based’ low-intensity self-help intervention. Delegates will be supported to consider how they will approach implementing the intervention. Time will be set aside to consider potential barriers to doing this\, to allow an opportunity to share expertise and consider ways to overcome these difficulties. Solutions generated will be discussed with time set aside for questions. \n Specific focus will be given to how and why practicing self-compassion on an individual level is recommended for clinicians as one possible solution. Throughout the day\, the workshop will be delivered with explicit reference to theory and evidence base\, but also rooted within a working understanding of an organisational setting\, in order to support delegates to put theory into practice given their individual and service context.  \nThis workshop is open to PWP’s & MHWP’s only and will be held remotely via Zoom from 09:30am to 16:30pm. \nA place on this workshop will cost £125. Please do book a place on this programme using the link below\, alternatively we can arrange for an invoice to your service/organisation. \nEnhancing Clinical Practice Workshop | Resilience (PWP and MHWP workshop) | Tuesday 30th June 2026

SUMMARY:Cedar Create | Multi-Family Group Training: An Experiential Training 2026
DESCRIPTION:Multi-family group treatment is a growing evidence-based intervention which is used as an adjunct to single family therapy. The format draws on the experience of a number of families and increases motivation\, commitment and a sense of sharing between them. This collective experience is balanced by the presence of staff members who guide families during a range of exercises and most crucially during lunch and snack times. The intensive days are spent in a range of ‘sub-groups’ including young people\, siblings\, and parents on their own. \nMulti-family groups have been adapted for a range of presentations including adult mental health issues\, ADHD\, and paediatric illnesses. \nThis experiential training seeks to orientate clinicians into the full workings of a group. A number of the key exercises used in each group will be practiced and each participant will take up a role in a created family. The training will be suitable and beneficial for any clinician working with a diagnosis of eating disorder\, whether in CAMHS or adult services. Significant systemic facilitation techniques will be demonstrated and later deconstructed. The Maudsley Manual for MFGT will be followed and adapted. \nThis training will be delivered by Louise Cooper & Jo Sleep. \nA Standard Ticket will cost £375.00\, if you are a University of Exeter alumnus you can buy a discount ticket for £300.00. \nIf you are interested you can book a place here: Cedar Create | Multi-Family Group Training: An Experiential Training 2026. \nPlease get in touch with with us at createprojects-cedar@exeter.ac.uk if you have any questions. \n

DESCRIPTION:In an increasingly digital world\, therapists are discovering innovative ways to create accessible and engaging services for children\, young people and families. Digital tools—including digital sandtrays and videogames—offer new opportunities to connect with clients in meaningful ways\, supporting therapeutic work in both face-to-face and online settings. This interactive course explores how these tools can be integrated into practice to enhance engagement and therapeutic outcomes.  \nTeaching will be delivered by Ellie Finch\, MA MBACP (Accred)\, who specialises in working with neurodivergent clients and parents and siblings of children with disabilities and complex medical conditions. She has a worked in a range of settings including CAMHS\, schools\, private practice\, and local and national charities (including Relate\, The Children’s Society and ChildLine). She has developed an innovative online service engaging children in counselling through videogames\, such as Minecraft\, and other digital tools. \nThis training is designed for systemic practitioners and family therapists. It will also be useful for anyone that works therapeutically with children and families. We have two course dates coming up. The training days are the same so you only need to attend one date. This course will take place on Thursday 15th October 2026 from 09:30am to 16:30pm. Please book your place using the link below: \nBook here.
